About The Event

Macramé style plant hangers are a stylish and practical way to display and care for your indoor plants while adding a cool bohemian vibe to any room and you can learn to craft your own from sustainable materials.

In this relaxed and intimate 2 hours ONLINE workshop, sustainable textile artist Emma will teach you the knots and techniques to create a unique macramé pot hanger using a beautifully handmade upcycled textile twine.

You will learn:

  • How to measure and cut your twine
  • The techniques to construct your pot holder
  • Three different decorative knots

Emma will guide you throughout the process and will answer all your questions. We will also show you how you can propagate our favourite house plants to create your indoor jungle!

A perfect creative workshop to learn something new, actively relax and share tips on low waste living and meet like-minded people. Group size limited to 12 people, to allow time to chat and answer all your questions.

You will receive a material kit prior to the workshop which comes with:

  • 11 meters of twine (sustainably handmade by Emma from upcycled textile waste) in a choice of 3 colours (see images below)
  • 5 meters of hessian twine (to train and experiment on)
  • A wooden ring

Packed in100% reused packaging.

Please make sure you include your address details so we know where to ship your material kit. And notify us with your preferred choice of twine colour in the checkout questions. Kits will be sent out the first week of May, in time for the workshop.

If you already have the material you need you can purchase workshop tickets only.

Note: Please note, we need a minimum of 5 bookings to run this workshop. If the minimum number is not met by 10th May, 2021, the workshop will be cancelled and we will provide a full refund to those who have booked.
