Citric Acid is a natural acid, found in citrus fruits and used in many food products. It works as an inexpensive, non-toxic cleaner that can replace many products in your home. The acidity means it is a natural disinfectant and works to kill bacteria, mould and mildew. It also dissolves grease and grime and helps to remove limescale.

Simply mix with water and pour in a spray bottle to make a multi purpose cleaner.  Great to clean household appliances, mirrors, toilets, kitchen and bathroom surfaces. Can also be used as a general cleaner for windows, mirrors, copper, tiles, silverware, and baby toys.

Use in the kettle as a descaler. Combine with bicarbonate of soda for more cleaning uses.

As it is a weak acid, it is not recommended to use on natural surfaces, such as granite or marble, as it will dull the natural rock. If unsure, please test a small, unnoticeable area of your surface to check.
